The New Details

Extra details added were the way on which the fight ends, including a member of the cast actually being hit in tyhe face by the lead actor. Although this added to the detail of the fight scene, it did cause some minor irratence to his acting, but luckily, his only other acting roles being running.

Last minute changes

Several changes where implemented during the filming process. Most notably, there were no longer two female roles in the piece, instead I had to stand in for one of the parts (as a man of course) as the previous actress was involved with some other work on the same day as the day of filming. One other less noticeable change was that of the cultists not having the eight pointed star design embedded into their cheeks. This was because at the last minute, the person who was going to provide the means to create the star had completely forgotten, and arrived two and a half hours after filming had started, despite the fact that we were also attempting to get hold of her via phone. One last change was that of actors, which were changed around a bit, which led to a few new lines of dialogue, but in all, did not change very much.

Problems with filming earlier

Our planned time to film was on a weekend when every member was free. Unfortunately, it snowed pretty heavily and disrupted our plans for filming. Because the planned day was also the day that the snow had started to melt, if we had continued to film, then there would be gradually less and less snow as the filming proceeded. This would have lead to a continuous continuity error of the snow level constantly receding. Of course, another issue was that of freeing up times from other subjects and events in order to film. For example, our lead actress had a lot of photography coursework, which she did mainly in her free time, which didn't leave much of a window for filming to be accessed.

Filming issues

Whilst filming many problems were encountered at our location of choice. For a start, we chose an alley which we thought would have reasonably good lighting, but instead, only had two sources of weak light. Another reason is that the alley was surprisingly busy for the time of night, therefore we had to wait each time a member of the public went passed. The problem that really stuck with us was the fact that there were trains going past every ten or so minutes, which led to various shouting from each of the cast and crew, which obviously meant that there had to be some re-filming.

Inspirations

These are cultists and hoodies. The idea of the cultists were that they would look like just average chavs, until the leader speaks. The way he speaks is akin to many horror movie ideals, with his voice standard, but the same lines would be recorded quietly and backwards under the initial line of dialougue. this may create a sense that he is further in the organisation than the other hoodies in the group, and adds fear to the two walkers.
